We have been in business for 14 years, and before B & K, our founder Michael Brennan ran the largest collision shop in the country.
We pride ourselves on our outstanding customer service, high quality repairs, fast turn around times, and our ability to make the repair process simple.
Our motto is straightforward: We don’t do anything different, we just do what we say. Stop on by and see what we’re all about. Use the navigation bar up top to get to where you need, or just give us a call. Our phone number is 313-386-2580. Once you see what we can do, we’re confident you’ll agree that we’re the best collision shop there is in Metro Detroit.
We hope to see you soon!
We’ve got 4 bodymen with nearly 100 years of combined experience. And with all that know-how, we’re ready to knock your socks off. And we guarantee they will.
We have the some of the best talent, products, software, and equipment money can buy. Our 2 painters, both named Ron, are ready to show you why you’ll never want to go anywhere else.
Our bodymen are trained & equipped to perform any accident-related mechanical repairs, ensuring that your vehicle looks and runs like the collision never happened.
Our mission is to get you back into your vehicle, in its pre-accident condition, as soon as possible. We know how uncomfortable the repair process can be, especially when it’s everyone’s goal to stay as far away from an automotive repair facility as they can. We make the process as simple, fast, and headache free as possible to ensure that you have a positive experience should you ever need our help.
Our repairs and paint work are guaranteed for life, and although we pride ourselves on the quickness of our repairs, your safety is always our number one priority.
We are going to do our absolute best to give you the most accurate quote possible. However, keep in mind that there are certain line items on an estimate that are judgment calls, such as how many hours it will take to repair a panel. For the most accurate estimate, nothing beats an in-person visit.

Our story is filled with triumph and obstacles, hard work and hardship. In 1998 Westborn Collision, which at the time was the largest collision shop in the US and was being ran by B & K founder Michael Brennan, was sold to Sterling Automotive. After major differences in values of the new company came to light, Michael decided to leave to start his own company, which was B & K Collision. Sterling threatened lawsuit because of the employees and customer relations Michael was able to take with him. At the same time, Michael was going through divorce and a close family member (originally the “K” in the business’ name) backed out of the newly formed company. With no one to help him, no place to live, and no where to turn, Michael took his young family, moved into the back of the office, and buckled down with his business. He grew the company quickly and within a few years was able to expand to 3 different locations. Then, after an almost unimaginable amount of employee theft nearly sent the entire business into bankruptcy, the company downsized back to its original location in Melvindale and Michael retook tight control of the reins. He went back to building the company, then back to hardship – a few years after downsizing, a custody battle for his youngest, with its financial and emotional tole, nearly put the business into bankruptcy for a second time. Things became steadily better and the business became strong again. Fast forward five years, and Michael is able to retire with his oldest, Bradley, taking over the business. The company still has its minor ups and downs, as with any business, but the family hopes to have a strong business moving forward.
And that’s where we are today, that’s the short and sweet story of B & K Collision. We’ve had a long road and hopefully have an even longer one ahead of us. Now you may be wondering, how does this story impact me? Well, if we went through all of that as a family and a company just to have the opportunity to fix your car, do you really think we’re going to risk our reputation and business to take advantage of you? Absolutely not. We’re here because of our hard work, our drive, and our dedication to doing things right. As long as we’re still around we don’t plan to ever deviate from our straightforward motto. We don’t do anything different, we just do what we say.
Building character is a journey of truth.
